I’d like to list my services on this site. How do I start?

Please fill in and submit the form above. When we get your information, Joe Mallon (Blade Sharpening Directory founder) will call you. The purpose of the call is to confirm your details and to keep down spam listings.

After the call, Joe will text and email you another form in which you’ll provide your business information. Fill out the form and send it back. The Blade Sharpening Directory team will then create and publish your listing.

I operate my business out of my home. I don’t want my home address published.

We understand. Please provide the address to which your customers should send their knives and blades. This could be a post office box, UPS store (with rentable mail boxes), or similar.

For other business address options, please submit the listing request form and discuss the address question in your phone call with Joe Mallon (see first FAQ at the top of this page).

I don’t have a business website. Does that mean I can’t have a listing on this directory?

You need some kind of online presence to assure customers that you run a legitimate business.

If you don’t have a website, you should have either an active Facebook business page, an active Instagram business page, or a YouTube channel with plenty of recent videos on it.

I’d like to have a business website. How can I get one built by someone I trust?

Please discuss this with Joe Mallon in your call after you submit the initial listing-request form (see first FAQ at the top of this page). Blade Sharpening Directory will build you a website. We have six templates to choose from. Your new website can be live within 4-6 weeks.

Who will put together my blade-sharpening listing and publish it?

The team at Blade Sharpening Directory will create your listing using the information you provide after your phone call with Joe Mallon (see first FAQ at the top of this page). We’ll get this information from the form you fill out after you and Joe talk on the phone.

When my listing goes live, how will people find it?

People will find you by using the search functions on the home page (location and category searches). People will find Blade Sharpening Directory as they use search engines such as Google, Bing, Baidu, Yahoo!, Ask.com, and DuckDuckGo.

You can promote your listing and expand its potential audience by posting your listing’s URL (web address) on your social media channels.

I need a specialty blade sharpened. How do I find a sharpener who can do that?

Use the search functions on the home page. The left-side search bar includes a drop-down menu. Scroll down the menu until you find the category of blade you want sharpened. In the right-side search bar, type in the city or area where you need the service. Click the Search button and it’ll open a new page with all the blade sharpeners in the city or area you selected.

How much does one listing cost?

Only $5! We’ve made the listings affordable so that cost is not a barrier to promoting your business.

Will my listing ever expire or disappear?

Not unless you misuse the site. The administrative team of Blade Sharpening Directory reserves the right to delete listings that we believe should not be on the site.

Why does Blade Sharpening Directory exist?

We built this site to bring all blade sharpeners together under one roof—to make it easier for anyone who needs blade-sharpening services to find them.

Is this a USA-only directory?

No. This is a global site that serves blade sharpeners and people looking for blade sharpening services anywhere in the world.
